Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience required to scrub and circulate.
• Expert level (3+ years) experience required with Orthopedic Spine, Tobots, and Trauma patients.
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required.

Certifications & Licensure

• Current licensure in the State of New Jersey.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• American Heart Association ACLS certification required.
• National certification in the specialty area preferred.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 4 shifts per week, each 10 hours long.
• Weekend/on-call requirement: One weekend on call per month (36 hours total: 24 hours Saturday, 12 hours Sunday).

Orientation & Onboarding

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination.
• Orientation includes virtual welcome meeting, online HealthStream modules, in-person classes (typically Tuesday-Thursday), and unit-based orientation.
• Badge ID must be obtained in person during orientation (photo submissions not accepted).
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital.

Additional Requirements

• Background check, drug screen, and various health and employment verifications required.
• Compliance with mandatory trainings and vaccinations including COVID-19, Influenza, Hepatitis B, MMR, TdaP, Varicella, and TB screening.

This position is ideal for experienced OR nurses with strong skills in orthopedic spine and trauma cases, who are licensed in New Jersey and meet the certification requirements.
