Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience required to scrub and circulate.
• Expert level (3+ years) experience required with Orthopedic Spine, Tobots, and Trauma patients.
• Prior travel experience: Not specified (no explicit requirement).

Certifications & Licensure

• Current licensure in the State of New Jersey.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• American Heart Association ACLS certification required.
• National certification in the specialty area preferred.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 4 shifts per week, each 10 hours long.
• Weekend/on-call requirement: One weekend on call per month (36 hours total: 24 hours Saturday, 12 hours Sunday).

Orientation & Onboarding

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination.
• Orientation includes virtual welcome meeting and online HealthStream modules to be completed by Monday before start.
• In-person classes typically held Tuesday through Thursday at multiple locations.
• Unit-based orientation schedule provided by manager.
• Badge ID appointment required during orientation; photo submissions not accepted.
• Badge is required for clock-ins.

• Various health screenings and vaccinations (e.g., COVID-19, Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, TdaP, Varicella)
• Competency exams and skills checklist
• Confidentiality and core mandatory annual training
• Multiple regulatory and compliance screenings (e.g., FACIS 3M, NJ Debarment, National Sex Offender Registry)

This position is ideal for experienced OR nurses with strong skills in orthopedic spine, robotics (Tobots), and trauma patient care, who are licensed in New Jersey and meet the certification requirements.
