Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medsurg/Ortho (7NE)

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Unit: 7NE - Ortho/Tele
Beds: 22 total beds
Shift: Nights (7p-7:30a)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule
Holiday Requirement: Yes, travelers are expected to work holidays
Floating: Possible to units 7E, 7W, 10W, 10E
Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Experience & Skills

• Must have strong orthopedic experience
• Must have Total Joint Replacement experience (not just fractures)
• BLS Certification required
• No RN drip titration required
• Telemetry available but RNs do not have to read strips

Patient Ratios & Support Staff

• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5-6
• 3 CNAs per shift with CNA ratio approximately 1:7-8
• Charge Nurse available 24/7
• Respiratory therapy and equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow) as needed

Orientation

• 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation

Additional Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine required (2 Moderna/Pfizer shots or 1 J&J) or approved medical/religious exemption
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous permanent candidates must have been gone for 2 years before reapplying
• Previous travelers must have been gone for 2 years before reapplying
• Travel teams must be submitted together
