Job Opportunity: RN - Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Shifts: Every Other Week (EOW) / Every Other Holiday (EOH)
- Shift Times: 1030-2300 or 1430-0300
- Flexibility with shift times is required
Required Specialty
- Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Room (ER)
- Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard ER RN experience expected (no lower years specified)
Certifications & Licenses (Required for Onboarding)
- BLS (American Heart Association certification required for all direct patient care personnel)
- ACLS (Required for RNs in ED)
- PALS (Certificate required for RNs in ED; ENPC certificate also acceptable)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- Valid Nursing License (Verification must be dated within 30 days of start)
Health & Safety Requirements
- Fit Test
- Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (must be completed within 30 days of start; excludes THC)
- COVID-19 Vaccine (proof of booster by Sept 2025, declination or exemption accepted except for CA or IL)
- MMR (Proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer)
- Hepatitis B (Must have started vaccination series prior to start; titers not accepted)
- Influenza Vaccine (Proof or declination accepted except for CA or IL; valid for 10/1/2025-4/30/2026)
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with chest x-ray if positive TB as per regional requirements
- Varicella (Proof of 1 vaccination or IgG titer)
- Physical/Health Statement (Exam within last year confirming fitness to work)
- Tdap Vaccine (Current, non-expired; declination accepted if no pediatric interaction)
Professional & Compliance Requirements
- Trinity Profile (Resume, Skills Checklist within a year, 2 Professional References)
- Trinity Code of Conduct Form
- Trinity I9 Form
- Confidentiality and System Security Agreement
- Integrity and Audit Services Form
- Non-Employee Upload Form (specific to Iowa)
- Specialty Specific Competency Testing (Must be completed within a year)
- Criminal Background Check (Federal, Nationwide, County for last 7 years; dated within 30 days of start)
- Education Verification (Highest academic degree or diploma verified)
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) Check (dated within 30 days)
- GSA/OIG Exclusion Check (dated within 30 days)
- Joint Commission CORE Exam (within a year)
- NSO (National Sex Offender) Check (dated within 30 days)
- System Access Form (Must be completed and uploaded one week before start)
- Skills Checklist (Provided by agency for clinical contractors)
- Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training (Required for Iowa)
- Iowa Sing Report (Criminal History, Sex Offender, Dependent Adult & Child Abuse Registries check within 30 days prior to start)
- OFAC Sanctions Search (Must be completed within 30 days of start)
Additional Notes
- Candidate must be flexible with shift scheduling.
- All certifications and verifications must be uploaded to the system as scanned copies with expiration dates where applicable.
- Drug screen excludes THC.
- Declinations for vaccines are accepted only where specified and with agency letterhead documentation.
This position is suitable for experienced ER RNs who meet the above certification, licensing, and compliance requirements and are available for a 13-week long-term assignment in Waterloo, Iowa.
