Job Opportunity: CVICU Registered Nurse

Location: Mountain Home, Arkansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit & Patient Population

• 17-bed ICU/CSICU specializing in open heart recovery
• Care for cardiovascular patients post coronary artery bypass grafting, thoracotomy, carotid stenting, heart valve replacement/repair, and other vascular interventions
• Experience with interventional and non-interventional procedures, general surgery, and advanced therapies including:

  • Intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP)
  • Induced hypothermia
  • Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)
  • Impella Heart Pump
• Patient age range: neonates to geriatrics

Requirements

Education & Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required, BSN preferred)
• Current Arkansas or Compact State RN license in good standing

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required (higher value taken from description)
• CRRT experience preferred

Certifications

• BLS required
• ACLS required within first 6 months of employment

Skills & Other

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Basic computer knowledge required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year history and national/state sex offender searches
• Verification of education and licensure (NURSYS verification for RN)
• Various facility-specific documents and acknowledgements prior to start
• Physical exam (required for Aya direct candidates, not required for subcontractors)
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • TDAP (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray (within 1 year) and TB questionnaire
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccination)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer or vaccination)
  • Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
  • COVID vaccination documentation or exemption notification
• Drug testing (negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start)
• References: 2 required within 2-3 years of start
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable

Additional Notes

• Position is safety sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 (Medical Marijuana regulations)
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this role
