Job Description

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in Operating Room
• Required Specialty Experience: 2 years
• Licensure: Current Washington RN license (or compact license with additional WA requirements)
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Required Credentials & Documentation

• Copy of I9 or attestation
• 10-year criminal background check including:

  • SSN Trace
  • Alias/Name changes
  • Statewide searches for all states lived/worked in last 10 years
  • National criminal, sex offender checks
  • Education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search within 30 days of start
• Education verification and diploma copy (if applicable)
• Current WA RN license verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification and e-notify registration for RN license
• Photo for badge (headshot on plain white background)
• Signed Code of Conduct and Confidentiality agreements
• Physical exam with physician’s statement within 1 year of start
• Fit testing for N95 mask onsite (required for this facility)
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tdap vaccine or signed declination
  • Negative TB test (QGold or T-SPOT within 30 days of start) or chest X-ray if positive
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: titer or 2 vaccines required
  • Hepatitis B: titer, vaccine, or declination
  • Varicella: titer, 2 vaccines, or history of chickenpox
  • Drug screening within 30 days of start (10-panel, no instant tests)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required by November 1
• References: 3 recent employment references required
• Employment application including all states lived/worked in

Additional Notes

• Certifications must be from AHA or ARC; facility does not allow updating certifications onsite
• Fit test must be renewed annually; failure to pass prohibits care for TB isolation patients
• Flu vaccine decliners must wear a mask at all times while on shift
• Orientation and onboarding processes are mandatory prior to start

This position is ideal for RNs with at least 2 years of OR experience, current WA licensure, and required certifications, seeking a travel contract in Washington state.
