Job Description

• Position: RN Main OR
• Start date preferred within 3-5 weeks
• Workdays: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday with call and late days as required
• Specialty areas: Neuro/Spine, Ortho/Trauma, General/Robotics/Trauma
• Required experience: Craniotomy and burr hole procedures

Experience Requirements

Background and Compliance Checks

• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• Education verification (highest level) or transcript/diploma
• State-specific checks for Texas (DADS Employability Status Check and Employee Misconduct Registry) within 30 days of start

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
• Fit mask (3M 1860 Regular or 1860S), updated annually
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray (PPD or Qgold/Tspot) within 1 year
• Rubeola (Measles) immunity: positive titer or 2 vaccines; MMR booster if negative/equivocal
• Mumps immunity: positive titer or 2 vaccines; MMR booster if negative/equivocal
• Rubella immunity: positive titer or 2 vaccines; MMR booster if negative/equivocal
• Hepatitis B: positive titer, series (3), or declination; booster or declination post titer if low/equivocal
• Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines; booster if negative/equivocal
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start; no pending results allowed
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), with agency religious or medical exemption accepted

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Resume or employment application required
• Skills checklist updated annually
• Completion and signing of various facility-specific documents prior to start (e.g., vaccination acknowledgment, TB and occupational exposure acknowledgment, patient-centered pledge, confidentiality statement, background check authorization, traveler identification form, employee handbook review)

• Facility-specific orientation modules (~3-4 hours)
• Parking available for orientation and employment
