Description
Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Greenwich, Connecticut
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM (may vary if needed)
- Call required as needed
Requirements
Licensure & Certification
- Connecticut state license required
- MRI certification required (ARMRIT and/or ARRT (MR)) to obtain license
- Navy blue scrubs required
Experience
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated, assume minimum 1+ year typical for MRI Tech roles (no higher conflicting data)
- Prior travel experience: Not required
Job Duties
- Assist with breast patients and positioning
Certifications (AHA or ARC accepted unless otherwise noted)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – required for NICU only
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy) – if applicable for Oncology unit
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – required for ER at Greenwich
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – check unit requirements
- NIH Stroke Certification – required for RNs except certain specialties
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) – required for Psychiatry/Behavioral Health, preferred for ER RNs
Background Checks & Verifications
- 7-year criminal background check (updated annually)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
- Education verification including foreign equivalency if applicable
- State license primary source verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification for nursing licenses within 30 days of start
Competencies & Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (85% passing score required)
- Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates starting 8/2/2024 or later)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for telemetry, MS/Tele, ER, all ICU units)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (3M N95 preferred)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (or declination within 1 year)
- Varicella
- 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31)
- COVID vaccination series preferred
Employment History & Documentation
- 7-year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days
- Work history verification required for all start dates on/after 8/2/2024
- Skills checklist within 12 months of start
- Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for MRI Techs and related units
