Job Description & Responsibilities

• Willingness to float to other campuses if census drops to maintain hours
• Every Other Weekend (EOW) work required
• Must make up all missed shifts
• If scheduled to work during Return to Office (RTO) weekend, traveler must find coverage
• If placed on-call, must return to facility within 1 hour
• No blocked scheduling allowed

• Airway management
• Management of ventilated patients
• Arterial line (Artline) management
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Central line management
• Management of IV drips
• Isolation precautions
• Triage skills (specifically for ER/ER Holding)
• Electronic charting experience
• Nurse to patient ratios typically 1:1 to 1:2+

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Advanced NRP (AAP only)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Required for ER

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• E-Verify or Attestation
• Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
• 7-year Criminal Background Check (updated annually)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check (updated every contract renewal)
• HHS/OIG check (updated every contract renewal)
• OH BCI and FBI Fingerprint Attestation (updated annually)
• Education Verification (highest level required)
• State License primary source verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification for RNs within 30 days of start
• Competency exams and core training parts I, II, III (updated annually)
• Physical Exam within 12 months of start (updated annually)
• Fit mask testing prior to start
• TDAP vaccination within 10 years or signed declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (updated annually)
• Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (updated annually)
• Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation or approved exemption (deadline applies)
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluation
• Skills checklist updated annually (as applicable)
• Various facility-specific documents and acknowledgments (e.g., attendance policy, orientation packets, training modules)

Additional Notes

• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Candidates must complete required online Healthstream modules by specified deadlines
• Skills check-offs for specific competencies will be completed onsite during the first week
• Candidates must review and sign multiple facility-specific policies and training packets prior to start
• Masking required for candidates with approved medical or religious exemptions during flu season

This position is ideal for experienced ER Registered Nurses with prior travel experience who are flexible and able to meet strict scheduling and certification requirements.
