Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
Patient types include Hip/Knee, Mastectomies, Abdominal Surgeries
Patient ratios: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
Unit bed size: 30
Scrubs color: Navy
Traveler will be required to float across multiple campuses within the system
EMR system: EPIC
Overtime/Holiday pay multiplier: 1.15x
Call back pay multiplier: 1.5x with 2-hour minimum
On-call pay available

Requirements

Specialty: Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Medical Surgical and Telemetry experience
Prior Travel Experience: Required (previous travel experience explicitly stated)
Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Must have 24 months of current Medical Surgical experience documented in work history
Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical discipline required
Professional references within the last 24 months preferred
Valid driver’s license required
