Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Job Details

  • Call Requirements:
    • 1 day a week and 1 weekend every ~4 weeks (subject to change)
  • Floating: Within facility/scope of practice and to Main OR as needed
  • Weekend: Included in call requirements
  • Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years (accepts first-time travelers)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required
  • Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
  • Holiday Work:
    • If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, traveler expected to work it
    • If 2 major holidays fall, traveler expected to work both
    • If 3 major holidays fall, traveler expected to work 2 of them
  • Major Holidays Include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day
  • Locals Accepted: Yes, at same rate
  • Orientation: Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
  • Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; delays in compliance may push start by 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule

Required Credentials & Certifications

  • Licenses:
    • State License verification required within 30 days prior to start (must be licensed by the State of Georgia for CRTs & RRTs)
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for relevant specialties
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required unless specialty states otherwise
    • Other certifications (PALS, NRP, EFM) may be required depending on specialty area
    • Tech Certification Verification (national) if applicable
  • Competency Exams:
    • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for RNs and LVNs by agency)
    • Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for certain specialties)
    • General Competency Exam (required for Nursing and Allied by agency)

Health & Background Requirements

  • Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days of start, including education verification and criminal history checks
  • Physical Exam: Required within 12 months of start (agency requirement)
  • Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; cannot start with results pending
  • Immunizations & Health Screenings:
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (two negative TB tests required for privileging specialties)
    • TB Questionnaire (updated annually)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer, with boosters if needed
    • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer, with boosters if needed
    • Hepatitis B Series or Surface Antibody Titer or Signed Declination (additional compliance for privileging specialties)
    • Flu Seasonal Vaccination or Declination (strongly encouraged during flu season)
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (recommended, required for privileging specialties)

Additional Requirements

  • References: 2 clinical references required by agency (not client)
  • Skills Checklist: Must be updated within 12 months
  • Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
  • Facility Specific Policies: Candidates must review and sign Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start

  • This position accepts first-time travelers; prior travel experience is not required.
  • Floating assignments may be required within the facility or to the Main OR as needed.
