Job Description

• Start date strongly preferred: February 23 (bi-weekly orientation schedule)
• May consider later start date if candidate has strong experience
• Must be agreeable to floating between units
• Primary support for Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) unit
• Some coverage needed for Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Emergency Room (ER) holding
• ICU experience is a bonus but not required
• Schedule: 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee

Required Experience

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 1 year of start, including SS Trace, County searches (7 years), Nationwide, Sex Offender
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray (2-step PPD or equivalent) within 1 year of start
• TB Questionnaire required regardless of TB status
• Rubeola (Measles): 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
• Mumps: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
• Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series of 3, or declination
• Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal Flu vaccination required (or facility-specific medical/religious exemption)
• COVID vaccination documentation required

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Resume or employment application required
• Annual skills checklist update required

Notes

• Candidate must be willing to float between Med Surg, PCU, and ER holding areas
• ICU experience is a plus but not mandatory
• Orientation and compliance documents must be completed prior to start
• Schedule guarantees 72 hours biweekly with a total of 84 hours scheduled
