Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Coon Rapids, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab
  • Shift: 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week (07:30 AM - 06:00 PM)
  • Weekend Requirement: Work every third weekend
  • On-call: Yes, with response time within 30 minutes
  • Floating: May float between two campuses as needed
  • Block Schedule: Depends on schedule
  • Locals Accepted: No
  • Pending License Accepted: Yes
  • Return to Office Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Experience & Certifications

  • Required Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
  • First-timers: Not accepted (prior experience required)

Scheduling & Hours Guarantee

  • Travel candidates may be assigned 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
  • Minimum guaranteed hours per week:
    • 36 hours for 12-hour shifts
    • 40 hours for shifts less than 12 hours

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Criminal background check required within 1 year of start date
  • MN DHS Net Study Fingerprint clearance required (time sensitive)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 1 year of start
  • Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
  • Immunizations and health documents required:
    • Adult Tdap (no declinations accepted without exemption approval)
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray (within 12 months)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer required)
    • Hepatitis B (proof of immunity or vaccination series)
    • Varicella (proof of immunity or vaccination series)
    • Seasonal flu vaccination documentation required for 2025-26 season (declinations accepted)
  • Drug testing: 9 panel within 1 year of start (not required for client clearance)
  • OSHA Respiratory Safety clearance required prior to start (RespSafety virtual questionnaire)

Training & Orientation

  • Completion of facility-specific preorientation modules required within 72 hours of receiving login
  • Modules vary by specialty and can take 3-13 hours
  • Badge photo (passport style) required within 48 hours of signing contract

Additional Requirements

  • Medication and pharmacology competency exams required
  • Annual skills checklist required
  • Must comply with facility uniform guidelines

  • This is a travel contract position with a 13-week duration.
