Job Opportunity: OB Nurse (Contract)

Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking an Obstetric Clinical Nurse to provide comprehensive, family-centered nursing care to mothers and babies during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum periods, nursery, and Labor and Delivery. The role requires professional knowledge, independent work ability, and assisting physicians and midwives during examinations and procedures.


Required Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of OB nursing experience covering antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and Labor and Delivery.

Licenses & Certifications (Must be current and maintained)

  • Professional Nursing License (valid, full, unrestricted in any U.S. state, territory, or Puerto Rico)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – American Heart Association
  • AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certification (required within 6 months of hire)
  • AWHONN Advanced EFM Certification (required within 6 months of hire)
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification (required within 6 months of hire)
  • STABLE Certification (required within 1 year of hire)
  • Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) Certification (required within 1 year of hire)

Additional Information

  • Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to start.
  • Shared contractor housing available; no pets or family allowed per hospital policy.
  • Orientation occurs every 2 weeks.
  • COVID & Flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted after submission of a declination form.
  • Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start.
