Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Travel/Contract)

Position Details

• Shift: 2x10 hour days, Saturday and Sunday only (08:00 - 18:30)
• Work Schedule: Weekend coverage only, one MRI tech on duty with an assistant
• Average Case Load: 6-9 exams per day
• Work Environment: Short Term Acute Care facility
• Charting System: EPIC
• Must be able to work independently
• Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Radiology/Cardiology MRI Tech)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Weekend work required
• On-call: Not required
• Floating: Not required

Licensure & Certifications

• Required Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • WA State License
  • ARRT MR (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Magnetic Resonance)
• Pending License: Accepted
• Additional Certifications: ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, IV Certification, and others may be required depending on clinical track and specialty (verify with clinical leadership).

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • Must be current within 45 days of start date
  • Includes SSN Trace, Death Master Index, Nationwide and County checks, Sex Offender Registry, Education Verification, Motor Vehicle Record (if applicable), and others
  • State-specific searches required for Washington (WSP/WATCH) and border states
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit Mask test (annual, travel only)
  • Immunizations: TDAP, MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu seasonal vaccine (or declination), COVID vaccine or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
  • Drug screening: 10-panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance (annual for travel)
• References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
• Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps or overlaps

Additional Requirements

• Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required
• WorkRamp Modules:

  • Completion of required system, specialty, and regional training modules prior to start
  • Annual regulatory and specialty-specific modules required
• Skills Checklists: Annual updates required for applicable units
• Float Policy: Acknowledgement may be required (though floating is not expected for this role)
• Local Travelers: Not eligible if residing within 50 miles of the facility

This is a weekend-only MRI Tech travel contract position in Centralia, WA, requiring at least 1 year of MRI experience, specifically with Siemens equipment.
