Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: York, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with trauma and robotics experience for an Operating Room travel contract. The role involves working in a Pre-Screen Unit with clinical and managerial review prior to final selection.


Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
  • Level II Trauma experience required (at least 1 year)
  • Level I Trauma experience preferred
  • Must have prior travel experience (previous travel contracts required)
  • Must have trauma and robotics experience
  • Highly prefer experience in thoracic and vascular specialties

Skills & Proficiencies

  • Proficient with DaVinci Xi robot (required)
  • Bonus if familiar with DaVinci DV5 robot
  • Proficient with robotic general, gynecologic, thoracic, and urology specialties
  • Prefer RNs who can scrub and circulate independently without refresher training

Work Schedule

  • Maximum Return to Office (RTO): 7 days
  • 3-4 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule (day, evening, or night shifts)
  • Holidays as needed (day, evening, or night shifts)
  • 2-3 on-call shifts within a 6-week schedule with 30-minute callback response

  • May care for COVID-19 patients
  • Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Certifications & Compliance

  • Required Certifications:

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • Other certifications as applicable (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC) depending on unit requirements
  • Background Checks & Verifications:

    • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
    • PA FBI Fingerprinting required within 1 year of start (results must be on file within 45 days)
    • Education verification (highest level)
    • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search (must be completed within 5 years)
    • Pennsylvania PATCH Search (must be finalized prior to start)
  • Health Documents:

    • Physical exam within 90 days of start
    • Immunizations and titers: Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
    • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start
    • Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
    • COVID-19 vaccine or exemption/declination accepted
    • Drug testing (negative 9-panel) within 1 year of start (Aya requirement)
    • Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year of start, renewed annually
  • Competency Exams:

    • Medication/Pharmacology competency as applicable
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) required for all RNs except OR and Home Health

Documentation & Onboarding

  • Clear, professional passport-style photo required for badge
  • Completion of facility-specific documents including:
    • Medical Statement of Ability to Work
    • Commitment to Health & Wellness
    • Code of Conduct
    • Confidentiality Agreement
    • Non-Employee Affidavit
    • I9 Attestation and Documentation Attestation (agency completed)
  • Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start
  • New Hire Orientation required by end of first day
