Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry (Days)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa

Position Overview

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) on a temporary contract
Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry with step-down experience
Work setting: May float within the same discipline across local campuses, including ED float
Employment type: Temporary

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule & Hours

36-40 hours per week, with overtime billable after 40 hours
Orientation available on multiple upcoming dates (various 2-day sessions)

Required Experience & Certifications

Minimum 2 years of previous step-down nursing experience (highest required specialty experience)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
First-time travelers are welcome (no prior travel experience required)

Valid Driver’s License
Work history/resume
Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
License verification
Copies of required certifications
One supervisory reference required at time of submission
Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility

Systems & Tools

EMR system: EPIC

Compensation Notes (for reference only)

Overtime/Holiday pay multiplier: 1.15x
Call back pay multiplier: 1.5x with 2-hour minimum
On-call pay and charge/precept pay available

This position is ideal for RNs with step-down experience looking for a temporary assignment in a Med Surg/Telemetry setting with opportunities to float to the ED. Prior travel experience is not required.
