Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights Weekend Package
Location: Chariton, Iowa

Job Description
- Provide, plan, direct, and evaluate total nursing care in the Emergency Department under limited supervision
- Collaborate effectively with other shifts and departments to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in education, record maintenance, and policy/procedure updates
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate courtesy and cooperation with coworkers, patients, and visitors
- Adhere to the department’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values
- Wear appropriate apparel and display nametag
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Plan, organize, and direct nursing functions including direct patient care
- Use data to prioritize patients’ physical, psychological, educational, and discharge needs
- Identify problems and guide personnel toward solutions
- Foster a positive work environment for coworkers’ growth and job satisfaction
- Administer medications and IV solutions skillfully and accurately
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation and reporting
- Ensure availability of necessary supplies and equipment
- Participate in planning departmental changes and improvements
- Implement physicians’ orders and nursing care plans safely and accurately
- Evaluate patient and family responses and modify care plans accordingly
- Assist Med-Surg and other departments as needed (e.g., direct patient care, STAT orders, medication administration)
- Prioritize workload effectively
- Demonstrate effective communication skills
- Support and enforce infection control policies and procedures
- Remain resourceful and calm during emergencies
- Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel
- Display initiative and concern for patient care and department needs
- Observe and support hospital policies
- Maintain good rapport with nursing staff, medical staff, other departments, patients, and visitors
- Assume ancillary support responsibilities during absences
- Work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Attend required meetings and in-services
- Perform other duties as assigned
