Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)

Location: Camden, Arkansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12s)
• Day shifts: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Every other week (EOW) schedule, holidays as needed

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome (no prior travel experience required)
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Other certifications may be required as applicable (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC)

Patient Ratios

• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5-6

System/Technology

• MedHost electronic health record system

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
• Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal check within a year of start, updated annually
  • SS Trace, Counties, Nationwide, Sex Offender, Facis level 3
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • State-specific criminal search (Arkansas) required for all travelers
• Highest level of educational diploma/transcript
• State license primary source verification and NURSYS verification (for RNs)
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
• Physical exam: initial and updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Flu vaccination required during flu season; if declined, mask must be worn for contract duration

Additional Requirements

• Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
• Completed employment application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit
• Performance evaluations if previously worked with the agency over 1 year
• Internal evaluations if previously worked with the agency over 2 years
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)
