Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)
Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position in MS/Tele and LTAC units
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- No on-call required
- Floating within scope between like units required
- Block scheduling accommodation possible
- Locals not accepted (50-mile radius rule)
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Return staff policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
- System contract limit: 2 contracts max (can extend once), then must be gone for 6 months before returning
- Guaranteed hours: Call-off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; after that, all contracted shifts are guaranteed

Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or Military only
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or Military only
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for certain units (ED, OR, Peds ED, PICU)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required for L&D, FCCU, NICU units
- NIH Stroke Certification – Must be updated annually
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing – Required for multiple units including ICUs, Med Surg, Tele, Step Down, etc.
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) – Candidates have 3 attempts to pass with 80% or higher; remediation required after failed attempts
Competencies
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam – Must be completed via Relias and renewed annually
- Advanced Dysrhythmia required for ER, ICUs, Step Down, Tele, PCU
- Basic Dysrhythmia required for Med Surg, PICU, Radiology, and other units
- Minimum passing score: 80% with up to 3 attempts
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Background and Health Requirements

- Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination accepted
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days (specific substances listed)
- Flu vaccine required year-round; medical or religious exemptions accepted with facility approval
- COVID-19 vaccine not required but accepted if available

- Return staff must have been off assignment for 1 year
