Job Opportunity: Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel/Contract
Location: Rahway, New Jersey
Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Tuesday, Thursday: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
- Saturdays: As needed (1 Saturday required per month)
- Patient Load: Approximately 13 patients per day; clinic census around 35 daily
- Patient Population: Ages 15 and up, including patients with secondary cognitive disorders, concussions, Alzheimer's, and Dementia
- Work Setting: Outpatient clinic
- Charting System: EPIC
- Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
- Floating: May rarely float to another campus if not needed at primary site
- New Graduates: Accepted, provided licensed and completed outpatient affiliation
- Locals: Accepted
Requirements
- Licensure: Must be a licensed Physical Therapist
- Experience: Outpatient experience required (New grads accepted with completed outpatient affiliation)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) from an accredited university required
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Checks:
- Criminal background check within 30 days of start
- Must include all aliases, locations lived/worked in past 7 years, and various federal/state checks
- No open cases allowed at start
- Health Documents:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as per facility guidelines
- Physical exam within the last 12 months, cleared to perform essential job functions and free of communicable disease
- Drug screen within 30 days of start (10-panel urine test)
- Seasonal influenza vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
- Immunizations or proof of immunity for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Fit Testing & Respiratory Clearance:
- On-site fit testing mandatory for respirator use; Respiratory medical clearance required prior to start
- Other:
- Completion of facility-specific orientation and safety training
- Annual education sign-off and compliance with facility policies
- References: Two references within last 2 years, including at least one managerial reference
- Employment application or resume with 7 years of work history required
- Work history verification required for New Jersey candidates (minimum 1 year prior to start, allowing 30-day gaps)
Additional Notes
- Must complete an acknowledgment of facility floating policy for every new assignment
- May be required to complete additional competency exams and pass/fail testing as applicable
- Facility requires adherence to latex allergy screening and accommodations if needed
- Candidate must provide government-issued photo ID and proof of residency as required
- Candidate must complete all required documentation and clearances prior to start date
