Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel/Contract

• Scrub Color: Any color; OR/L&D/Cath Lab scrubs provided

Experience Requirements

• Minimum Specialty Experience: 1 year (IV Start experience required)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• First-timers Accepted: Yes

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, STABLE) — check unit-specific requirements.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Social Security Number verification
• E-Verify or Attestation
• Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
• Background Checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Education Verification
• State License Primary Source Verification and NURSYS verification (for all RNs)
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) during orientation
• Drug Testing: Negative 13-panel within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
• Physical Exam within last 12 months
• Immunizations and Health Documents including:

  • Tdap (within last 10 years)
  • Negative TB test (Quantiferon Gold preferred, updated annually)
  • Vaccination or exemption documentation for MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza (seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season)
  • Other vaccine titers or declinations as applicable (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella)

Orientation & Facility Specific Notes

• Orientation starts at 8:20 a.m., business casual attire recommended (scrubs allowed if required for position)
• Lactation resources available
• Facility provides scrubs for OR/L&D/Cath Lab
• Orientation held on-site; parking is free

Additional Notes

• Must comply with facility’s 8 and 10-hour rules (40 hours/week)
• Must complete orientation checklist and competency exams as per facility standards
• References: 2 professional references required for travel positions, must be within 2 years
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked at facility over 1 year

This position is suitable for RNs with at least 1 year of ICU experience including IV start skills, who are comfortable with weekend rotations and floating within their scope. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
