Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Paducah, Kentucky

Work Schedule

• Week 1:

  • Sunday: 3:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Thursday: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
  • Friday: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
• Week 2:

  • Monday: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
  • Tuesday: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
  • Saturday: 3:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Call and weekends by rotation
• 16-hour shifts are back-to-back: work one weekend, next weekend off

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology
• Certifications:

  • ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Valid Driver’s License if driving is a major job responsibility

Background and Verification

• 7-year criminal background check within one year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification required; transcript or diploma may be accepted if verification is unavailable
• State-specific checks as applicable

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• Tech Certification Verification (National)

• NURSYS Verification for RNs
• NIH Stroke Certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)

Competencies

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
• Competency Exam (required for all clinical candidates)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required for non-clinical)
• Fit mask test annually (with specific mask types accepted)
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination acceptable for non-clinical)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Baseline TB risk assessment within 90 days of start, updated annually
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or IgG titer required; declinations not accepted
• Hepatitis B surface antibody titer, series, or declination required
• Varicella - 2 vaccines or IgG titer required; declinations not accepted
• Negative 9-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Facility Specific Documents

• Badge photo (shoulders up, solid light background)
• Respiratory fit test waiver (if applicable)
• Flu and COVID exemption forms (if applicable)

• 2 professional references required (1 for non-clinical)
