Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse

Location: Marlton, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Strong, recent Home Health experience required
• Patients primarily discharged from hospitals and nursing facilities
• Common diagnoses: Wound care, wound vacs, Pleurx drains, ostomies, Heart Failure, Diabetes, oncology, post-surgeries, Orthopedics
• Procedures include wound care and management of drains and ostomies
• Productivity expectation: 6 visits per day (admissions count as 2 visits)
• Work schedule includes every 5th weekend and every other holiday

Requirements

• Licensure: New Jersey RN license required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Home Health nursing experience
• Med Surg skills required
• Experience with OASIS and EPIC EMR systems
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Certifications

• ACLS (AHA or ARC only)
• BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• PALS (if applicable to unit)
• NRP (if applicable to unit)
• CEUs as applicable (e.g., stroke and trauma for ER RNs)
• Pass/Fail testing (Dysrhythmia test) required for certain specialties (not required for Home Health)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Other certifications as required by specialty and facility

Compliance & Documentation

• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID
• State license primary source verification and NURSYS verification
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Immunizations or positive titers for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen (without THC panel) within 6 months, updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required
• Eye exam with visual acuity 20/40 or better
• Latex questionnaire
• Employment application and skills checklist updated annually
• Work history verification for at least 1 year prior to start date (NJ state requirement)
• Two professional references within last 2 years

• Personal or auto insurance required for Home Health assignments
• Candidates cannot start if certifications expire within 30 days of contract start date
• Fit test must be completed before first shift
