Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Rochester, Indiana

Job Description

• Must have EPIC experience within the past year on the same unit type you are applying for; proficiency with EPIC is required to obtain system access.
• Experience as an RN in Circulator and PACU roles required.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Ability to function independently in circulator and PACU roles.
• Must be available to take call every 3rd to 4th weekend and one weekday (may vary based on department needs).
• Typical shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (may vary depending on caseload).
• Case types include: orthopedic, C-sections with limited other gynecology, general surgery, podiatry, robotic surgery, and endoscopy.
• Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Required Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Operating Room)

Certifications & Licenses

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

• State RN license valid in Indiana
• NIH Stroke Certification required for all RNs

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including criminal, nationwide sex offender, education verification, and state-specific license verification
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Immunizations and titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Annual flu vaccination required (declinations not accepted without approved exemption)
• Drug screening: Negative 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam appropriate to clinical specialty
• Skills checklist and employment history verification
• Emergency contact form and orientation education completion prior to start
• HIPAA Safety Manual acknowledgment annually

• Call schedule and shift times may vary based on department needs.
• Must be able to work independently in both circulator and PACU roles.
