Job Description

  • Position: RN Main OR
  • Start date preferred within 3-5 weeks
  • Work schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday with call and late days as required
  • Specialty areas: Neuro/Spine, Ortho/Trauma, General/Robotics/Trauma
  • Required experience: Craniotomy and burr hole experience

Background Checks & Compliance

  • 7 Year Background Check required within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
  • State-specific checks (Texas DADS Employability Status and Employee Misconduct Registry) required within 30 days of start
  • Facility-specific acknowledgments and forms must be reviewed and signed prior to start

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
  • Fit Mask (3M 1860 Regular or 1860S) required, updated annually
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year (PPD or Qgold/Tspot accepted)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if titers negative/equivocal
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted; booster or declination post titer if low/equivocal
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; booster if titer negative/equivocal
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), exemptions accepted
  • Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start; facility conducts additional drug screen on arrival

Additional Requirements

  • 2 professional references within 3 years of start

  • Skills checklist updated annually
  • Facility-specific orientation modules (~3-4 hours) required during orientation
