MRI Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)

Location: South Portland, Maine

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled, independent MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years MRI experience. The role involves coverage in outpatient facilities using Philips Ingenia 1.5T and 3T MRI scanners. The technologist will work alongside a tech aide or a second technologist (no solo shifts). No on-call required.

Contract Length

• 26 weeks (interpreted as weeks)

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of MRI specialty experience (highest required)
• Philips MR experience is a must
• Level 1 trauma experience strongly recommended
• Experience with anesthesia, ICU patients, neuro (spine, brain, brain perfusion), body imaging (abdomen, MRCP, kidney, pelvis), and musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging
• No breast, cardiac, or prostate imaging required

Certifications & Education

• Must be ARRT (MR) or AMRIT Certified
• Maine State Licensing for MRI is not required

Work Environment & Schedule

• Shift includes 1 weekend and 1 weekend overnight
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• No float requirements
• No call requirements
• Equipment: Philips MR 1.5T and 3T Ingenia or Ambition scanners
• EMR system: Epic
• Patient types: Inpatients at one site, outpatients at all sites
• Unit has 650+ beds with 1:1 patient ratios

• Position supports Ortho and Sports departments with a high vacancy rate
• Technologist will split time between Ortho and 100 Campus Drive
