Job Opportunity: Med/Surg Nights RN

Location: Calais, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Direct and coordinate members of the patient care team to provide individualized, quality patient care.
• Develop patient care plans in collaboration with physicians, patient care team members, patients, and families as applicable.
• Utilize professional nursing practice skills including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients of all ages (pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric).
• Promote teamwork with medical staff and hospital personnel on the unit.
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in the State of Maine or authorization to practice pending licensure by endorsement.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BCLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills.
• Ability to function independently.
