Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

• PALS (as applicable)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Chemotherapy certification (if applicable)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) (if applicable)
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) (if applicable)
• State Nursing License verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS Verification within 30 days of start
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication/Pharmacology) required onsite at orientation with up to 3 attempts

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
• Fit Mask Test within 1 year, updated annually (N-95 or approved masks only; no PAPR accepted)
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (PPD, QGold, or TSpot within 1 year; Chest X-Ray within 2 years if positive)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; booster if low/equivocal titer
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination required
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; booster if low/equivocal titer
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; must meet facility requirements and be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• Flu Vaccine or Declination required during flu season (Oct-April); mask required if declined

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific documents including:

  • Notice of Employment

  • Dress Code Policy Acknowledgement
  • Agency Checklist
  • COVID Declination (if applicable)
  • HIPAA and Fair Warning Quiz Modules (within 72 hours of signing)
  • Orientation and Safety Training Modules (within 72 hours of signing)
  • Annual TB Questionnaire (updated if gap >30 days)
• Completion of various pre-start forms related to health records, code of conduct, confidentiality, and orientation

This position requires a highly qualified Labor and Delivery RN with current certifications and compliance with all health and facility requirements. The contract is for approximately 13 weeks in Odessa, Texas, on the night shift.
