Job Opportunity: NICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Odessa, Texas
Specialty: Registered Nurse – NICU (High Risk Level III)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience (higher value confirmed)
- Experience in a High Risk Level III NICU setting
- Certifications required:
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – required
- STABLE certification – required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Other certifications as applicable: CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification
- Must pass Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam and other competency exams as applicable
- Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG required
- Drug testing required (10-panel screen)
- Physical exam and fit mask test required within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and health requirements:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (with annual TBQ)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella – proof of immunity or vaccination required
- Flu vaccine or declination during flu season (Oct-April)
- References: 2 references within 3 years required
- Skills checklist and employment application required, updated annually

- Facility-specific documents and orientation modules must be completed prior to start
- Time-sensitive requirements (e.g., physical exam, immunizations, drug testing) must be completed within 72 hours of signing the contract
