Description

Job Opportunity: Pediatric Dietitian (Travel/Contract)

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks)
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day
Start Time: 7 AM or 8 AM
Schedule: Remote rotating weekends once per month
Start Date: ASAP


Specialty & Experience Requirements

  • Specialty: Dietary Services (Pediatric Dietitian)
  • Pediatric experience required, specifically NICU experience
  • Illinois state license required
  • CNSC certification preferred but not required

Certifications Required

  • N95 mask fit testing within 1 year of start (not required for sterile processing, clerical, or remote positions)
  • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
  • Immunization requirements including:
    • TB testing (PPD or Quantiferon Gold) within specified timeframes
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella titers or vaccination documentation
    • Hepatitis B vaccine series or titer (especially for renal dialysis units)

Competency Requirements

  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Color blindness test (Ishihara 14 plate)
  • Unit-specific competency exams updated every 3 years
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam for RNs in ICU, PACU, Pediatrics, Telemetry
  • Core training parts I, II, III and OSHA mandatory training, all updated annually

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 1 professional reference from management and 1 employment verification covering 1 year of experience within the past 2 years
  • Employment application and unit-specific skills checklist required
