Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (CVOR)

Location: Loveland, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: RN CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
  • Shift: 4x10 hour shifts (06:30 AM - 04:30 PM)
  • Days of the Week: Various
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes, per unit needs (weekend call)
  • On-Call Requirement: Yes, per unit needs
  • Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units
  • Staffed Beds/Rooms: 12 OR rooms
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Staffing Ratios: 1-2 RNs and 1 Surgical Tech per room
  • Scrub Color: Navy

Experience & Licensure Requirements

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year CVOR experience required
  • First-Time Travelers: Accepted if experience requirements are met
  • Licenses:
    • Colorado RN License or Compact RN License required
  • Certifications:
    • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required

  • Background Checks (within 60 days of start):
    • 7-year background check including SSN trace, Colorado CBI, education verification (accredited nursing school), FACIS III, sex offender search, OFAC sanctions list
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
    • HHS/OIG check
  • Education Verification (3rd party or transcript/diploma acceptable)
  • State License Verification (within 60 days)
  • NURSYS Verification (within 60 days)
  • Colorado CAPS Check Results (within 60 days)

Certifications & Competencies

  • Mandatory Certifications:
    • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI, Chemotherapy, Tech Certifications, as applicable per unit or specialty (confirm with facility)
  • Competency Exams:
    • Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam (updated annually)
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (updated annually)
    • Core Parts I, II, III (updated annually)
    • OSHA Mandatory Training (updated annually)
  • Color Blind Testing: Ishihara exam required prior to start (online testing not accepted)

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical Exam (within 1 year, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA)
  • Fit Mask Test (within 12 months, specific mask types required)
  • Immunizations & Titers:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or signed declination)
    • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year, updated annually)
    • TB Questionnaire (annually if positive TB)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) titers or vaccines
    • Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series or declination
    • Varicella titer or vaccines
    • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or facility-specific exemption (required during flu season)
    • COVID-19 vaccination proof or signed declination (acceptable vaccines: AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna)
  • Drug Testing (within 30 days of start and updated annually)

Employment History & References

  • Employment Application with 3 years of employment history (gaps >30 days must be explained)
  • Work History Verification for last 3 years (including most recent employer)
  • 2 References from the last 2 years required (one must be from employment within the last year; references must be from Charge RN, Manager, Supervisor, or above)

Additional Notes

  • Return to Office (RTO) days max: 10 days approved
  • RTO not allowed during specific dates in 2026 (March 14-21, May 8-11, May 21-27, June 28 - July 9)

This position is suitable for experienced CVOR RNs looking for a travel contract in Colorado with a 13-week assignment and flexible scheduling including weekends and on-call duties.
