Location: Spokane, Washington

Job Summary
- Position: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician
- Open to first-time travelers who meet all skills and experience requirements
- No floating between units
- On-call required: 1x per week, plus 1 weekend every 6 weeks (on-call only)
- Weekends required only for on-call
- Expected nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1
- Must be able to scrub all open cardiac cases
- Preference given to candidates with cardiac robotic experience

Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Surgical Services (CVOR Tech)
- Required years of experience: 2 years (higher value from description)
- Prior travel experience: Not required (open to first-time travelers)
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Current certification by AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society
- Chemotherapy certification (if applicable)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification (if applicable)
- State professional license as required
- IV Certification (if applicable)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) (if applicable)
- NIH Stroke Certification (if applicable)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) (if applicable)
Note: Certifications must be verified and current as per facility requirements.
Required Background and Compliance Checks
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education verification required for all candidates
- State-specific searches for Washington (WSP/WATCH) and Oregon as applicable
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health documents:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria) within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Fit mask testing required annually (onsite or valid record)
Additional Requirements
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors)
- Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
- Photo for badge with neutral background required
- Completion of required WorkRamp training modules prior to start, including:
- Annual regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules for Surgical Services and CVOR Tech role
- Facility-specific modules for Spokane region
- Epic training modules required within a week of orientation
Work Schedule and Conditions

Summary
This is a 13-week travel contract for a CVOR Tech in Spokane, WA, at a Level II Trauma Center. Candidates must have at least 2 years of surgical services experience, be able to scrub all open cardiac cases, and hold current certifications including ACLS, BLS, and PALS. First-time travelers are welcome if they meet all requirements. The role requires on-call availability and completion of extensive background checks, health screenings, and mandatory training modules.
