Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Stepdown Intermediate Care

Position Details

• Unit: Stepdown Intermediate Care (22-bed unit)
• Shift: Days (4x12 hour shifts) and Nights (1900-0730)
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes, as needed
• Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Patient Ratio: 1:4

Experience & Certifications

• Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Registered Nurse
• First-time Travelers: Accepted (no prior travel experience required)
• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
  • NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale Certification) - Required for all RNs, must be completed through BlueCloud
• Preferred Certification: CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)

Additional Requirements

• Residency: Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility (no locals accepted)
• Background Check: Required within 90 days of start, covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked in
• Education Verification: Required (diploma or transcripts)
• Physical Exam: Required
• TB Testing: Negative 2-step PPD or Qgold within 1 year of start (T-Spots not accepted)
• Immunizations:

  • Rubeola (Measles) - Titer or 2 vaccines (booster if low titer)
  • Mumps - Titer or 2 vaccines (booster if low titer)
  • Rubella - Titer or 2 vaccines (booster if low titer)
  • Hepatitis B - Titer, series, or declination
  • Varicella - Titer or 2 vaccines (booster if low titer)
• Drug Testing: Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, cannabinoids, MDMA, methamphetamines, buprenorphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, tramadol, benzodiazepines, morphine/opiate)
• Flu Vaccination: Required for flu season (October–May) or approved medical/religious exemption prior to start
• Photo: Passport-style photo with solid background required for badge

Documentation & Compliance

• Completion of facility-specific modules (approx. 8-10 hours) prior to start is required; paid hours for completion
• Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement must be signed before starting
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccine exemptions allowed with proper documentation
• On-site EKG exam required for Monitor Techs (not applicable for this RN role)
