Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 6 weeks

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology)
• Experience with EPIC and Procedural Sedation required
• Adult & Geriatric patient care experience
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required
• Flu vaccine is mandatory (no exemptions)
• Prior travel experience not allowed (No first-time travelers)

Work Schedule & Call Requirements

• Call required on nights and weekends
• Call hours: 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM weekdays, and 5:30 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday on weekends (rotating schedule)
• Average call frequency: 9–13 days per 6-week period
• Self-scheduling available

Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS and BLS required for this position
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC) but not specified for this role
• Competency exams required as applicable, including Moderate Sedation Competency for Interventional Radiology RNs

Licensure

• Valid Maryland nursing license or compact state license with proof of state residency (driver’s license matching compact license state)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Flu vaccine required, no exemptions accepted
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start date
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (or declination)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Scrubs provided

Background Checks & Documentation

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required annually
• Fingerprinting required for school placements only (state of Maryland)
• Proof of 2 clinical references required
• Performance evaluation required if worked with the system over 1 year
• Skills checklist must be updated annually as applicable

Patient Population

• Adult and Geriatric patients

This position requires a skilled RN with Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience, current certifications, and the ability to work a rotating call schedule including nights and weekends. Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions allowed. Prior travel experience is required to have completed at least one travel contract (no first-time travelers accepted).
