Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse with Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience
• Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years
• Prior Travel Experience: Not for first-time travelers (prior travel experience required)
• Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric patients
• Call Requirements:

  • Call required nights and weekends
  • Call hours: 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM weekdays, 5:30 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday on weekends
  • Average call frequency: 9–13 days per six-week period
• Self-scheduling available
• Scrubs provided

Certifications & Licenses Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Valid Maryland nursing license or compact state license with proof of residency
• NIH Stroke Certification (AHA or APEX) required within the first week if not already held

Experience & Skills

• EPIC system experience required
• Procedural Sedation experience required
• Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience required

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions allowed
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccination, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, updated annually

Background & Documentation

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Verification of nursing license through NURSYS
• Proof of 2 clinical references required
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units

Additional Notes

• Local candidates within 50 miles receive a different pay rate
• Fingerprinting required for school placements only (not applicable for this role)

This position is ideal for experienced travel nurses with Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology skills who meet the certification and health requirements and are comfortable with call responsibilities.
