Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Mountain Home, Arkansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Position involves working in a Surgical Nursing environment with a focus on patient advocacy.
• The OR/CVOR has 13 operating rooms, averaging 650 cases per month.
• Surgical cases include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurological, Cardiovascular, Plastics, ENT, Urology, and Gynecological procedures.
• Technology used includes DaVinci Surgical Robot, Navigational Spinal and ENT surgery, and a Hybrid OR for advanced vascular procedures.
• Work schedule includes weekday nights (2+ days depending on staffing) and every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
• On-call duties are required.
• Start date preferred within the next 3-5 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and leadership within the nursing team.
• Use the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to promote evidence-based care in a healing culture.

Requirements

Education & Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (ADN required, BSN preferred).
• Current Arkansas or Compact State RN License in good standing.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Passion for Surgical Nursing and Patient Advocacy.

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) encouraged but not required.

Skills

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Basic computer knowledge required.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year history, national and state sex offender searches, and education verification.
• Various certifications and competency exams as applicable.
• Health documents including physical exam, immunizations (TDAP, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella), negative TB test or chest x-ray, drug testing, and flu vaccination or declination.
• Facility-specific documents such as dress code acknowledgment, pre-screening compliance checklist, TB questionnaire, and orientation forms.
• References: 2 required within 2-3 years.
• Work history verification for the past 2 years.
• Annual updates required for some documents and certifications.
