Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Voorhees, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Must be able to float within 5 hospitals within skillset (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL)
- Return to Office (RTO) documentation required at time of submission; no late submissions accepted
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
- Certification: ARRT R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)
- Preferred:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- OR trained
- First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
- Olive or sage green scrubs required
Prior Travel Experience
- Not explicitly required; first-time travelers accepted but not preferred
Certifications & Compliance
- Mandatory Certifications:
- ARRT R
- BLS (AHA or ARC only)
- Additional Preferred Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) for applicable units
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) if applicable
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) if applicable
- Candidate cannot start if certifications are expiring within 30 days of contract start date
Background & Screening
- 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen without THC panel within 6 months of start, updated annually
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within last 12 months
- Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation (required before first shift)
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 1 year; chest x-ray if positive history
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer or declination)
- Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination required by 10/31 or approved exemption (declinations not accepted)
- Eye exam with visual acuity 20/40 or better
- Latex questionnaire required
Documentation & Compliance
- Proof of I9 or attestation
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify proof or attestation
- State license primary source verification
- NURSYS verification for RNs/LPNs as applicable
- Professional references: 2 required within last 2 years
- Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
- Work history verification required for New Jersey candidates (minimum 1 year prior to start date verified)
Orientation & Testing
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
- Dysrhythmia competency test required for certain units (not specified for this role)
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Color blind testing within 1 year of start as applicable
Additional Notes
- Local rate adjustment for candidates living within 50 miles of the hospital
- Badge photo required by Wednesday noon EST before start date
- Candidates must complete facility-specific documents and requirements by due dates to avoid start delays
This position is ideal for Radiology/Cardiology technologists with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT R certification, who are flexible to float across multiple hospital locations within the system. Prior travel experience is not mandatory but preferred.
