Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Hospice (Temp)

Location: Walla Walla, Washington


Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Hospice RN to manage a caseload of approximately 15 patients, performing 4-5 visits per day depending on patient acuity and location. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing all service level nursing (routine, GIP, continuous, and respite)
  • Performing admission, SIA, and death visits
  • Completing same-day charting

The RN must be licensed in Washington (WA) and preferably Oregon (OR), as floating to Oregon sites is possible. Oregon licensure application is required upon contract acceptance.


Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ years of current Hospice Case Management experience (required)
  • Active Washington or Compact RN license (required)
  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance (required)
  • Clean background check in WA and OR
  • Drug screening
  • Up-to-date Influenza, TB, and COVID vaccination records

Preferred Qualifications

  • Acute/Med Surg experience highly preferred
  • Oregon RN license encouraged but not required at submission

Additional Requirements

  • Reliable vehicle to cover a 60-mile service radius (mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate)
  • Ability to float to Oregon sites (application for OR licensure required upon contract acceptance)
  • Resume and skills checklist specific to hospice discipline
  • Two supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment

Work Environment & Other Details

  • EMR system: WellSky Consolo (no Oasis, just HOPE)
  • Dress code: Scrubs of any color, no artificial nails, closed-toe shoes, hair up as applicable
  • Timekeeping via agency timesheet
  • Cancellation policy: Up to 3 shifts may be canceled per 13-week contract
  • On-call and holiday pay available (details not included here)

Prior Travel Experience

  • No explicit prior travel experience required

This position is ideal for RNs with hospice case management experience looking for a temporary assignment in the Pacific Northwest region.
