Job Opportunity: EP Lab Registered Nurse
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Specialty
- Registered Nurse with EP Lab & Cardiac Cath Lab competencies
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
- EPIC experience required
Schedule
- Day shift, 10-hour shifts between 6 AM - 7 PM
- Weekends as needed
- No call required
- No holidays required
- Floating as needed
- Must be willing to stay until last patient is cared for
Unit Information
- Invasive Cardiology unit with 4 Cardiac Catheterization Labs and 2 Electrophysiology Labs
- 23 prep/recovery bays
- Procedures include complex coronary procedures, VAD/ECMO, structural heart procedures (TAVR, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping), complex atrial and ventricular ablations, pacemaker/ICD implant & explant, cardioversion, pulmonary artery pressure sensor implantation, peripheral intervention, and pulmonary embolectomy
- May care for COVID patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year criminal background, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Pennsylvania-specific PATCH search
- PA FBI Fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days
- Education verification of highest level of education
- Competency exams including Medication Test/Pharmacology, Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (pass/fail)
- Photo for badge (professional, passport-style)
- Various facility-specific documents to review and sign (Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Commitment to Health & Wellness, Non-Employee Affidavit, I9 Attestation, Documentation Attestation)
- Completion of WellSpan Health LMS modules and New Hire Orientation by first day
Health Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Hepatitis B (full vaccine series or positive titer plus declination)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (vaccines or positive titers with boosters as needed)
- Varicella (vaccines or positive titer with boosters as needed)
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days; PPD not accepted
- Seasonal flu vaccination or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only)
- Respiratory Safety Clearance within 1 year, renewed annually

- Performance evaluations completed onsite by Unit Managers during assignment
