Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (PCU/Stepdown)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland

Job Details
- Unit: PCU/Stepdown
- Shift: 7 PM to 7:30 AM (1900-0730)
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, every 3rd weekend required
- Float to IMC, MS, Telemetry required
Experience & Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (PCU/Stepdown/IMC/Telemetry/Cardiac Telemetry)
- Required Years of Experience: 2 years
- Prior travel experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA or ARC)
- Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with:
- Minimum overall score of 80%
- 100% score on lethal rhythms section
Required Competencies & Exams
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (Relias Dysrhythmia Basics A) within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (score 80% or higher) within 3 years
- Color Blind Testing (online or in-person)
- General Competency Exam (score 80% or higher) within 3 years
Background & Health Requirements
- Criminal Background Check within 90 days, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start and monthly thereafter
- Education Verification of highest degree required by position
- Drug Screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
- Physical Exam: Annual, confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years preferred)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year, updated annually)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) documentation or titers
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Varicella documentation or titer
- Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Sept-Mar)
Documentation & Compliance
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license information
- Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually
- Valid state nursing license required prior to start
- Photo for badge with specific requirements (clear, centered, no glare, solid background)
Additional Notes
- Locals within 60 miles may be accepted at a different rate
- Must be able to float to related units (IMC, MS, Telemetry)
- Every 3rd weekend work required
- Orientation and facility-specific modules must be completed before start date
This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with PCU/Stepdown and telemetry experience looking for a 13-week travel contract in Maryland. First-time travelers are welcome.
