• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
• NIH Stroke Certification (expires annually)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)

Required Verifications and Documents

• I9 form (for direct candidates)
• Driver’s License or State ID
• E-Verify (for direct candidates)
• 7-year Background Check (updated annually) including SS Trace, County searches, Sex Offender, Education Verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
• Fingerprinting (New Mexico placements only; must be completed onsite during orientation)
• Education Verification (highest level of education)
• NURSYS Verification for RN license
• Primary source online license verification
• Photo for badge
• Employee Vehicle Registration Form

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 12 months of start
• Fit Mask Test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
• Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test (2-Step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year
• TB Questionnaire (if positive TB test) within 90 days of start, renewed annually
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if titers negative/equivocal
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
• Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history of chickenpox
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 Vaccination (Dose 1 and fully vaccinated) or approved medical/religious exemption required

Competency Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% passing score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• Color Blind Testing (online version acceptable)
• Competency Exam (minimum 80% passing score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• Annual Core Testing (for subcontractors)

• Must complete unit-specific skills checklist annually
• Complete application/resume required
• 7-year work history verification required
• References are an internal requirement only and not required for clearance

This position is suitable for nurses with at least 1 year of experience in rehab nursing and who hold current BLS certification. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply. The contract is approximately 13 weeks in length, working night shifts with flexible hours.
