Job Details

• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Registered Nurse)
• First-timers: Not accepted (must have prior experience)
• Ratios: 1 nurse to 5 patients
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period (schedule determined by unit needs)
• On-call: No
• Float Requirement: Yes, traveler will have a home base but may float to other units or locations within the region
• Block Scheduling: Cannot be guaranteed
• EPIC Experience: Required

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA Instructor or Provider only, RQI accepted
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA Instructor or Provider only, RQI accepted
• NIH Stroke Certification – Must be renewed annually
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (10/31 - 3/31), with medical or religious exemptions only
• Florida State or Compact Nursing License required at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)

Additional Requirements

• References: 2 professional references from authority figures (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) within the last 12 months
• Background Checks: Comprehensive background checks required, including Social Security Trace, Education Verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Florida AHCA Level II Fingerprint Clearance (must be on file prior to start)
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 6 months prior to start
  • Fit mask test within 12 months prior to start (strict shaving policy, no PAPR alternative)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months prior to start
  • Titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella within 5 years
  • 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (must include marijuana)
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption documentation during flu season
• Photo: Passport-style photo with white background required for badge
• Employment Application/Resume: Must be current within 90 days of start

Work Environment & Scheduling

• Holiday, weekend, and float requirements apply
• Guaranteed contracted hours
• Locals accepted at same rate as travelers
