Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Florida State or Compact Nursing License (must be active at time of submission)

Special Procedures / Unit Details

• Heparin drips
• Cardizem drips (administered at a straight rate)

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references from authority figures (Managers, Supervisors, Charge Nurses, or Directors) within the last 12 months
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 31 - March 31); medical or religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation
• Must comply with background checks, education verification, and fingerprinting requirements as per Florida AHCA Level II standards
• Physical exam within 6 months prior to start
• Fit mask test within 12 months prior to start (must be fully shaven; PAPR not accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months prior to start
• Required immunizations or titers within 5 years: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (must include marijuana; witnessed urine collection required for instant tests)
• Color blind testing required for MLTs (not applicable for RN role)

Scheduling & Work Environment

• Guaranteed contracted hours
• Floating to other units or locations within the hospital system may be required
• Weekend shifts as specified above

Notes

• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Pending licenses are not accepted; license must be active at time of application
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience, comfortable with PCU-level care, and flexible with floating and weekend shifts. Prior travel experience is not required, making it suitable for first-time travel nurses.
