Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Shiloh, Illinois

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: 36 hours on weekends

  • Friday: 1 shift, 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30)
  • Saturday & Sunday: 2 shifts, 14.5 hours each (07:00 - 21:30)
• Daily Caseload: Approximately 20 patients per tech
• Weekend Requirement: Yes (weekend position)
• On-call Requirement: No
• Floating: Yes, within service line and scope
• Locals Accepted: No (must be outside 75-mile radius)
• Pending State License Accepted: No
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: 7 days
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• Certifications:

  • ACLS (AHA Only)
  • BLS (AHA Only)
  • Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM)
• Licenses:

  • Primary Source Verification of Professional License required
  • Illinois permanent license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Background Checks:

  • Criminal background check within 6 months of start
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM quarterly checks
  • HHS/OIG quarterly checks
  • State-specific searches and exclusions as applicable
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask test (annual renewal)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility policy
  • Immunizations or immunity documentation for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
  • Drug testing within 1 year of start, must not expire during assignment
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Competency Exams:

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Unit-specific competency exams, updated annually

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
• Employment application must be completed and uploaded
• Unit-specific skills checklist required within 1 year of start
• Facility-specific documents such as HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, hand hygiene policy, dress code policy, and others must be completed prior to start
• Badge photo required (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months of start)
