Job Opportunity: Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Brattleboro, Vermont
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient care during surgical procedures.
- Function in both circulating and scrub roles in the Operating Room.
- Service lines include Dental, Endoscopy, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, and Urology.
- Fast-paced environment with heavy orthopedic cases.
- No DaVinci robot, spine, vascular, or cardiac cases involved.
Schedule & On-Call Requirements
- 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Weeknight, rotating weekend, and holiday on-call required.
- Call is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of recent Operating Room experience.
- Strong circulator and scrub experience specifically in Endoscopy (ENDO).
- Active Vermont or Compact RN license.
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Resume listing all departments worked.
- OR skills checklist from within the last year.
- Two supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records system.
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification.
- Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.
Additional Information
- Locals within 50 miles are accepted.
- The position involves working in a community hospital serving a rural population.
- The hospital values compassionate, respectful, and exceptional healthcare delivery.
Note: Call is a must for this position.
