Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)
Location: Midland, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Start date preferred within the next 3-5 weeks
- Schedule: 5x8 coverage required
- Call shifts Monday-Friday from 2:30 PM to 6:00 AM, approximately 10 call days per month (may vary)
- Weekends are on-call shifts, depending on staff availability
- Must be able to circulate and perform hemodynamic recording/charting
- Experience with Cerner EMR required
Required Certifications
- NIH Stroke Certification (required for all clinical positions)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only (Instructor, Provider, RQI acceptable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only (Instructor, Provider, RQI acceptable)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - required for ER, Interventional Radiology, PEDS, PACU, Allied
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - required for Antepartum, L&D, Mother-Baby, NICU
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - required for ER
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - preferred for L&D (Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN)
- Chemotherapy certification (as applicable)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) (as applicable)
- Tech Certification Verification (national certification required for applicable allied roles)
- State License Verification (required within 30 days of start)
- NURSYS Verification for RN (required within 30 days of start)

- Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
- Immunizations/vaccinations required:
- Rubeola (Measles) - positive titer or 2 vaccines
- Mumps - positive titer or 2 vaccines
- Rubella - positive titer or 2 vaccines
- Hepatitis B - positive titer or series (3 doses)
- Varicella - positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
- Flu vaccination or agency declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; additional onsite drug screen during orientation
- N95 Fit Mask test within 1 year of start (PAPR not accepted)
Background & Compliance Checks
- 10-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check required within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG check required within 30 days of start
- Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal History Search required within 30 days of start
- Texas Employee Misconduct Registry and Employability Status Check required within 30 days of start
- Education verification required for Cath Lab roles
- Confidentiality and security agreements must be reviewed and signed prior to start
- Drug screening and blood testing consent form required prior to start
- TB questionnaire required regardless of TB status
Additional Requirements
- 2 professional references within 3 years of start
- Resume/application required
- Skills checklist updated annually
- Orientation and safety manual acknowledgement required and updated annually
