Description

Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Dededo, Guam
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
  • 1st time travelers are welcome (prior travel experience NOT required)

Work Schedule

  • Varied 5x8 shifts (6:30 AM - 2:30 PM and 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
  • On-call some weekends
  • Must work assigned holidays: either Christmas Eve & New Year's Day OR Christmas Day & New Year's Eve (no holiday shift preferences)
  • Return to Office (RTO) requests must be pre-approved; max 3 consecutive days off, max 7 days total in the 13-week contract

Certifications & Licenses Required

  • ARRT VI certification required
  • ACLS (American Heart Association digital provider card only)
  • BLS (American Heart Association digital provider card only)
  • PALS preferred (AHA digital provider card only)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required for ER (digital certificate only)
  • National Tech Certification as applicable
  • State License verification (primary source verification required)
  • Conscious Sedation certification required for ER, ICU, and Cath Lab (online course, candidate responsible for fee)
  • ESI training required for ER (online course)
  • Facility-specific certifications for RNs (if applicable):
    • NIH Stroke Scale Training (NIHSS)
    • Pressure Injury Training
    • Alaris IV Pumps
    • Pyxis CareFusion

Required Documents & Compliance

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Current US Passport (Canadian passports NOT accepted)
  • Emergency Contact Form
  • Background Check (7-year, including criminal and international if applicable) within 1 year of start
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (annual)
  • Physical Exam within 1 year (facility does not require but Aya does)
  • Fit Mask test within 1 year (specific approved masks; onsite testing available)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year (annual TB questionnaire if past positive)
  • Immunizations or titers for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
    • Varicella (titer or vaccine)
  • 9 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season (Sept 1 - June 30) or approved medical exemption
  • COVID vaccination strongly preferred; declination requires facility-specific waiver form
  • References:
    • 2 professional references for travel/allied/per diem acute care
    • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care
  • Work history verification for last 10 years

Testing & Competencies

  • Drug Calculations and Basic Knowledge Assessment Tool (BKAT) exams onsite during orientation
    • Pen and paper format, must be completed in person
    • 10 questions each, 80% passing score required
    • Two attempts allowed with remediation discussion after first attempt
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required for RNs and Medication Aides
  • Competency exams as applicable by profession

Additional Notes

  • Scrubs provided
  • Candidates should plan to arrive by Thursday before start date due to long flight and time zone differences
  • Candidates must be able to accept the job offer within 24 hours
  • Return to Office (RTO) days limited and must be pre-approved
