Job Opportunity: Echo Tech - Radiology

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Role: Echo Tech (Cardiac Sonography)
• Department: Non-Invasive Cardiac Testing / Cardiac Care Unit (CCU)
• Shift: Days, 5x8 (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend rotation, no call required
• Call Requirements: None

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Specialty: Cardiac Sonography
• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years in ICU, Stepdown, or Cardiac testing (higher value between 1+ and 2 years used)
• Must have documented experience with conscious sedation
• Required Certifications:

  • RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer), current
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Must have knowledge and experience with Philips ultrasound equipment
• Must be able to independently perform daily inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms, including stress testing and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
• Familiarity with bubble study and ultrasound enhancing agents (Definity) required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 (exemptions require approval)

Summary

This travel Echo Tech position in Saint Louis offers the opportunity to work in a nationally recognized hospital system’s Cardiac Care Unit.
