Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ICU) - Illinois, Quincy

Position Details

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• NIH Stroke Certification (must be updated annually)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - required for ER, PICU, PEDI, PACU (preferred if applicable)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - required for LD, Antepartum, Postpartum, NICU, Nursery (if applicable)
• Chemotherapy certification (strongly preferred for Oncology, not required)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) (strongly preferred for ER, not required)

Experience & Skills

• 2 years of experience required in ICU or related units (CVU or CVICU experience accepted)
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government issued photo ID (2 forms of ID required)
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
  • SSN Trace
  • County searches for last 7 years
  • Alias, National Criminal, National Sex Offender checks
  • Education verification (Diploma or Transcript acceptable)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (must be done annually and within 30 days of start)
• Transcript/Diploma or Education Verification
• Physical Exam within 30 days of start, stating clearance to work without restrictions
• N95 Fit Mask Test within 12 months of start
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or signed declination)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: proof of immunity or vaccination as per birth year guidelines
  • Hepatitis B: titer, declination, or vaccine series
  • Varicella: titer, vaccination, or history of chickenpox
• Drug Testing:

  • 10 panel drug screen dated within 30 days of start, repeated annually (no rapid results)
• Flu Seasonal Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season)
• COVID-19 Vaccination proof required prior to start

Competency Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• Color Blind Testing (required for all travelers)
• Unit Specific Competency Exam
• Core Competency Parts I, II, III (must be updated annually)
• OSHA Mandatory Training (must be updated annually)
