Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ICU) - Illinois, Quincy
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)

- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty (CVU or CVICU experience accepted)

Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- NIH Stroke Certification (must be updated annually)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - required for ER, PICU, PEDI, PACU (preferred if applicable)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - required for LD, Antepartum, Postpartum, NICU, Nursery (if applicable)
- Chemotherapy certification (strongly preferred for Oncology, not required)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) (strongly preferred for ER, not required)
Experience & Skills
- 2 years of experience required in ICU or related units (CVU or CVICU experience accepted)
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government issued photo ID (2 forms of ID required)
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
- SSN Trace
- County searches for last 7 years
- Alias, National Criminal, National Sex Offender checks
- Education verification (Diploma or Transcript acceptable)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (must be done annually and within 30 days of start)
- Transcript/Diploma or Education Verification
- Physical Exam within 30 days of start, stating clearance to work without restrictions
- N95 Fit Mask Test within 12 months of start
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or signed declination)
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: proof of immunity or vaccination as per birth year guidelines
- Hepatitis B: titer, declination, or vaccine series
- Varicella: titer, vaccination, or history of chickenpox
- Drug Testing:
- 10 panel drug screen dated within 30 days of start, repeated annually (no rapid results)
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 Vaccination proof required prior to start
Competency Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
- Color Blind Testing (required for all travelers)
- Unit Specific Competency Exam
- Core Competency Parts I, II, III (must be updated annually)
- OSHA Mandatory Training (must be updated annually)
